soccer player wip

this is my latest wip i have to change the hands shoes and detail the head and i have to redo textures.
For now is 1280 poly.
the larger pic is the paler softskinned in a realtime application with Ati N-patch at first level about 3000 poly i think and a second release of the texture (color tuned).
i wont to make the original model look better even without hardware tessellization.

no problem i'll post it tomorrow

now is too late here in italy are 3:15 am.
tomorrow i'll post the uvs from my pc.
Do you won't to make a skin?
the uv unwrap is all done in max 5 for a 512x512 target texture.
unwrap frnt to back for body except for legs and arms that are cilindrical maps.head is cilindrical hands front to back and shoes are unwrapped point to point by hand.
all is tuned to optimize the space and make the texture seamless were detached placing vertex by hand in detached borders to adjust the shape so now some parts fit in rectangle easy to make seamless without visible borders. arms and hands are common for both side of the model for best optimize the space.
i must in future divide the head from the rest of the body in a 256x256 texture only for the face.

Thumbs up

Looks good so far mate... my only C&C's are...
1. The head doesnt look right.... I think the neck may be too long.... and on the large pic he seems to have a strange double chin...
2. the armpits seem to go too far down... squeeze them in a bit around his shoulder... it will make his chest seem more in proportion....... apart from that.. top job!
