I'd get a test rig set up at this stage if I were you - just to highlight any potential problems with the body shape. You've got very big hands and trousers to accomodate and the shawl thingy over her shoulders could be tricky to deal with. None of those things are insurmountable but you don't want to be unwrapping and colouring in only to find you've got to make a significant topology change in order for her to deform correctly. Apologies if I'm teaching you to suck eggs but you've said you're not experienced with the modelling etc. |

First of all, amazing work guys, really inspiring. I've been following the forums for some time now and I finally found the time to produced a semi-finished concept. I don't know if I'll be able to finish in time. still, it's all about the journey

Sasin: The hammer rocks man!
wingcutangel: Welcome and good luck! Painting is good, but the charactercould use some unique stuff to her. She is too average right now ![]() The Prime: Thanks! I hope you'll like the next char too ![]() adamos: I like the chest piece so far! poopipe: Right I'll try and fix it if the frog goes as the final entry! (I'll fix it anyway because its probably going to my portfolio) Just need a break from the guy ![]() Buzzy: Excellent modeling. No surprise here ![]() Contra: Proportions looks ace so far! Soo this is the shape of things to come... 2k tris so far, I have every piece of armor in there which I wanted, So I'll just have to detail them up to 3k. Or maybe adding some extra clothing and such.A question: I was thinking of making the piece of cloth which comes from the waist, goes above the shoulder and comes down at the arm, making it snake like, or even transform it in to a snake head at the end of the cloth. So kind of cloth to organic snake enchantment. What do you think of the idea, and is it allowed for me character to have pets? edit: the scythe is a place holder its the 3d version of the first scythe image popped by google ![]()

Cordero - that should be fine as it would count as a weapon or other equipment item so as long as it's within the budget

Hey guys, at work but I wanted to take the time to comment on some people's stuff.
Adamos: Looks good so far, keep pushing Buzzy: Nice update on the mesh WTB moar contra:solid foundation, let's see some more Icex2009: Thanks for the clarification, nice concept so far sasin: fantastic diffuse work, nuff said. wingcutangel: Welcome to 3DT, it's a nice concept idea, take some time to add in some small design elements, loose clothing, jewelry, something to break up the large areas of skin/tight clothes. cordero: Nice and fast update. You should definitely invest in more cloth, that will make or break the piece. Martin_X Excellent sculpt, very clean. Toss the spaulders in and make the silhouette pop. That's it for now, I will have a complete concept up for my stygian witches tonight.

Hey guys, small update here. I think I'm adding a bit too much detail right now, the parts that I have done right now (lower torso, legs and arms) are already around 1200 tris. We shall see how things go.
