Nice story there Zlatovous!
Big-Toe - Now that was what I thought as well . I guess the main challenge is just to make it all hand painted, old school method. So that's probably why you need to do it this way ![]() Lexicon - Neat concept Will look ace!

silverflame: Thanks! I like your concept too, but I'd suggest adding some hanging plate to him, or some piece of armor to make it a bit more interesting. L3XICON: Its great that you like it ![]() setschaos: Thanks! I really like this crown direction, but with this royal feeling to the character, maybe the two shields are a bit brutal. Anyway I like the first one on you concept, its very interesting. Imajus: I like the proportions on your block so far. Zlatovous: Thanks man! Yeah I should decide, but I hate to turn my back on another opportunity, and I really like both directions But I must pick since it could end up too mixed, and no real personality to him.Where is the war related avatar? ![]() EDIT: Athidi: I agree. Way to much info going down here, and some artworks get lost in the flame about sculpt / bump / and other not art related stuff. So whats the policy behind this BiG-ToE?

gonna be quick cos I'm supposed to be working
everyone: we're working at a level of detail that relies very heavily on strong forms, concentrate on silhouette and form for the time being, I see detail in some of these concepts which will turn muddy very easily. Look closely at the meshes for the animation challenge - the bull and girl with big hands are very good examples of 2-3k work setschaos : the one of the left has good strong shapes to it, I would personally develop that one. You simply don't have the available polys to do the tentacle things on the right hand sketch effectively and keep the rest of the mesh looking shiny. Lex : will be interesting to see how this develops - you know what you're doing ![]() thefmilyofblood : nice - I'd cartoonise the forms a bit myself to add a bit more interest to the silhouette Imajus : I'm looking forward to this one - awesome scythe thingy ![]() cordero : very nice. if you can keep that feel through to the 3d it's going to be awesome - i like the crown silverflame : I'd give him more of a useable neck - I got caught in the huge neck muscle trap on a character just last week and it really didnt look right. I'd revisit your proportions a bit too - he looks kind of unblanaced to me - I'd go into zbrush (if you've got it) and tweak the low poly mesh about Zlatovous : I think you're going to suffer from not having clear enough forms with the sculpt as it is - remember you cant rely on surface detail at all at this LOD, everything is in the silhouette. I should get a start on my 3d tonight - yesterday evening was spent arbitrating a disagreement between windows tablet services and the new wacom drivers (i hate computers) |

your team gets officialy chosen when you sign up for the competition at the DW site I think.
haven't bothereed reading the rules yet tbh but that was the deal last time. |

Japo - on the dominancewar.com website is where you choose a team. But I don't remember if you need to worry about that until you submit your entry. And, yes I think the animation challenge will have some good entrants. I hope to enter myself.
