Ode to Washka's 2D Thread
Ok, so here is my sculpting so far, I have been going VERRRRY slow, but I really want to get this done.
Thanks, Washka for the 2D concept as posted in your thread Here . I am doing this sculpt and model COMPLETELY Asymmetrically, not even the torso posted here is mirrored. I plan on making it with semi next gen specs, ~10k Tris, 2048x2048 textures (all of them) and the final will have a rendered image (posed) as well as a marmoset image.

Ok, quick WIPs, I will definitely revisit these to put more detail for the colors, but I figured a nice update would be... well... nice!

You're doing an hard exercice man, because my painting is hard to read, same for the style.
You can do it with your own point of view, or if you want to, you can push the exercice with those comments: Gun's a tiny bit bigger (105%-110% scale up), shoulder-wings (Different piece) are longer/bigger and go down (posing make them up). Fat guy, big belly/larger abdomen, smaller head (some kind of upper plate/helmet there=> different piece, it'll go down on his back like a mantle), rounder biceps. And some help for the gun, hope you won't get crazy: |

No, that's very helpful, I felt a little lost and went with it, but had to stop and take a good hard look because it didn't have your feel, that is VERY helpful!
Thanks! will have an update soon.

Ok, correction: 2 view one, that thing take much more time than I tought, and I'm still not happy with it, already plenty of things I want to correct : / , but you'll get a basis.
I'll go upper part for next (thigh/pelvis) If you go questions, do not hesistate. When you render prev. or from Zbrush, try make some clean one (white background) face/profile too if you can (low focal). KIU! [Edit] If you wanna make some rig later, call me, I'll rework the joints parts. Last edited by washka; 17-01-2011 at 06:33 PM.. |
