This is my first time posting here.I wanted to do a tribute to my favorite Transformer Unicron. I imagined him consuming solar systems including suns. He's also resting his hands on small planets as a display of his arrogance. I'm trying to get better at modeling so I attempted to use 3DS Max for a base model then I painted on top of it in photoshop. |

That is a great peace. Unicron is one of my all time favorites. Such an amazing idea and such a great character design. Your really captured it well. I too am interested in your technique to achieve this. Sounds like an approach I would like to take on some pieces.

Hi guys. Sorry for the late response. Work has my hands tied. I have some images on my blog showing my progress. It started out as a piece without 3d. I got sloppy and didn't check my perspective. I got discouraged to finish so it was put on the back burner for a while. I started to revisit it but implemented 3d to help out. I modeled the leg chest and arms. The head and everything else was illustrated. I actually captured the first illustration phase. I hope to post the video soon. Thanks for the interest guys. Hope to post more soon.
Here is the link. You might have to scroll through the pages. The first parts are on the 3rd page I think. Main page: http://clintonfelker.blogspot.com/ Last edited by cgfelker; 22-01-2011 at 05:57 PM.. |
