been doing the flip lights... still got the detail to do.. but the flip bit looks alright i think... almost got the better of me the first time around.. real disaster...

i need some input.. tell me what you think.. i'm not a hundred percent really on these.. think i'm missing something.. i know i havent finished the inner detail of the bulb and what not.. but i'm talking about the shaping of the flipper bit... looks a little weird too me.. not sure...

have rebuilt the flip light.. didnt like it before... so.. will upload in a few mins just gotta do a windows update and restart..

Nice work, some serious detail going on here. Still plan on making it turn into a robot when your done?

Headlight bucket needs some tweaks yet, it's pretty bumpy, and not shaped quite right.

The ref shows it to be flat on the front, with a standard round headlight inside. That makes your job a lot easier, since you don't have to worry about all the curved surfaces. For the headlight itself, I recommend doing it in three parts. One inner layer, built sort of like a clamshell. (Refs are easy to find.) A second layer that looks a lot like a ruffles chip will match the outside glass layer, this gives you accurate distortions when you add refraction. The third layer will just be a smooth outer layer. If that's confusing I can add some exploded renders of my headlights, as they're pretty much the same as these.

as for the flip lights.. am happy with the shape i guess.. as it totally depends on what year the model was built.. i have many different references all showing different shaped and curves... one with and without.. its very annoying to say the least.. as your like.. well which one do i go for.. lol..

anyway.. i'll crack back into the lights tomorrow.. i'm going to bed.. its 6am... gonna have to recut the bonnet and perhaps add a few more edges inbefore i cut the mesh up..

i'll get it right... aint putting in this effort for milk and cookies.. right..

great news.. got my stamp today... my letter from the doctors arrived.. am so pleased.. its been a hard year getting myself to this place... phew.. hopefully that will be the last of it.. (heres to optimism huh.)..
