Dominace War V - 3D - TBA - Discmage

OK...so I'm still playing with ideas for the Atomhawk and this one...as they are both just efforts to improve my skill and get some direction and maybe feedback...figure it'd be worth a shot.

So, My theory on THIS one is a lot better than the atomhawk so far...

With the rise of AI through the wars there was a single unit that craved more and more control and power. Taking robots into his cause, he first made an army of his own elite warriors fighting alongside the machines. Over time he drew weary of the mundane reality and the limitations of his power. He wanted even more. In the lulls of war, he studied and researched ways to ascend using his minions to scour the multiverse for ways to gain entrance into the ranks of gods.

Updating his firmware, adding and upgrading his gear,using biotics to enhance what areas he could...his powers started becoming more and more godlike through each war that passed and his rapid evolution.

This war was the final piece that completed his power over other beings. Not only did he learn to control power of material things, he learned the magical, ethereal and mystical combining them to finally make it into the halls of the gods as....

The GOD OF MECHA.

Or MECHA GOD!!!!

Which is awesome, cos mecha (me - cha) in Osaka japanese means 'Awesome', as in Awesome God!! I live in Osaka by the way.

I may change the name, but the story is about right...it may take some adaptation to get the full effect.

The actual God is a very old, hybrid, mechanised hulk of a thing...showing decades of modifications and manipulations... his 'weapon' is a table with a planet or piece of land like a war general would in his tent...but in this case it is in fact reality he is toying with...you know, being a God and all.

Inspirations will draw from the usual of course...Starcraft and Warhammer 40K...Throne of judgement and Dreadnoughts for example...but I want to add a lot more of mystical/old/magical elements to it as well...with a bit of bionics and what not...for to ascend one needs a soul..supposedly...so he had to 'acquire' that from somewhere Maybe he has a human heart beating somewhere that can be seen.

I could possibly move into the realms of hybridising demon and angels into him )wings, a halo, or a tail and horns etc....as the enemy has been these things before..nothing like using your enemy to your advantage...I guess most don't take it so literally however

I was always a fan of stargate too. They did a lot on Gods and humanity, their ideas were quite interesting so I'll probably throw a bit of that in there too.

Unfortunately I'm just not 'feeling it' just yet in regards to putting in the hard yards...but I'm prestty solid on the idea so I started bacshing out some basic ideas and concepts...

Its hard when theres no flow going...so I dunno what to do about that.

I've got two poses...one sitting contemplating...possibly even bored cos he's just THAT powerful, with his legs crossed on the table

The other I think is the one I will go with, leaning over the table, looking at his next move and point of total dominance over the reality.



Anyway, concepts are as follows:

-To ascend one needs several things...you need a heart of a living being, and worship...mostly. Through fear or praise. My God uses fear of course to gain belief from the aother races...and when TRUE AI hits, 'praise' is still possible through the machines binary code.

- I'm expanding the heart to encase a demons heart, its closer to the ethereal realms and therefore should allow for easier access into the halls of the gods. I'm also creating a lot of bionics from the spine, ribcage and tail of the demon...also the wings. So the back shell is a mix of machine and demon scales and skin.

- Over time he added a lot of bells and whistles to bring fear among his enemies. horms and sharp pointy bits etc.

- He is also holding a weapon of choice...its a blade gun of sorts...will bring better designs of that soon.

- The table is a large plot of land that depicts the signs of war...so thousands and thousands of troops and weapons will be arrayed across the board. It would actually be really cool to have other gods surrounding the table in a 'finished' piece after the event...as if the gods are playing chess with the lives of millions of lives.

Thats all I've got so far really, its mostly in my head, I'm just trying to get into the mindset so the ideas flow directly to my arm...

I also might change the name to God of Ascension...seeing as thats what he did... It sounds cooler I think.
