Dominance War V - 3D - God of Pestilence - Malene

Hey Guys,

So I have been gone for quite awhile but thought I would come back and compete in this Dominance war...

My idea is my God has come forth in disgust of everything that is transpiring and bring to the playing field a disease unlike any other, one that can infect Machine and human alike.

She is tired of all the war and turmoil and has come to Level the playing field... And bring forth a new age of Undead rivalry..

Simple enough...ha! Concepts coming...

Okay so these are a couple of options I was thinking a couple quick 20 minute sketches.... Trying to think it out, I want her to have a sexy figure and to be revolting almost at the same time, to have almost like a stink cloud surrounding her...

Good starting concepts. But I must say, I think it's bad to lock yourself in with "She must be pretty" right from the start. I think some good exploration would be to do both disgusting and beautiful concepts to see which one is moving in the right direction and take it from there. I think this is because, when I think of "God of Pestilence" i don't picture someone pretty. But, perhaps this is the point you are trying to make?

Also, the second concept reminds me of Maleficent from sleeping beauty lol.

Anyway, I hope these comments helped, looking forward to more concept art. Nice work!

yeah the second concept is Maleficent from Sleeping beauty pretty much I was toying with the idea of making her something of the same effect except having her trail off in to some kind of nasty mist filled with bugs.... And I did want to make her pretty just because when you do think of pestilence it isn't beauty... as you stated.

I think your last sketch is moving in a good direction. I think the diseased flesh or whatever you wanna call it over the eyes works much better than what you had in your previous sketch, which looked kinda like she was rockin' a blue beard.

Interesting theme. Some big gas bulb? Umbrella?

Why an umbrella? ....uuuh I don't know, that's what your concept inspired to me. Completly subjective, but an umbrella (a nice one/ old style with ruffles and lace).

Washka.. I like that a lot almost give it an innocents to it, could even make the diseased flesh almost look like a bustier the way it is around her skin too... Maybe?

I too like the last concept, I think you could push the pestilence further by adding boils or oozing sores or something, turn up the juxtaposition of the decay or disease with the beauty of a hot chick up to 11.
