Dominance War V - 3D - TBC - M575
Well.. I've got a degree in Animation / 3D, yet I've been working as a full time graphic designer. I think it's time I get off my ass and back into 3D! This will be a great challenge, and I hope to follow it through to the end. The tri count is almost double anything I've worked with, so I don't think it's going to be a problem for me! Might start sketching ideas out now! :}

Well I've been doing a bit of sketching to try get ideas. I'll see if I can scan them in tomorrow! So hard to get a solid idea.. Having said that, I still haven't looked at any other images or anything for inspiration / reference so that'll help!

Agreed! Post up what you have and even just bounce some idea's around with the people here. This competition is all about the community helping each other improve their skills.

Yup totally agree. I started off with silhouettes and worked on from there. I wanted to get enough to post up here! Now it's just a matter of getting a moment to scan the stuff.

If you have a camera on your mobile phone (if you have one, that is), just take a photo with that. Anything that has a camera will do, actually.

Had a moment at work to quickly scan in some pages! I've been looking at machine / beasts.. I think I'll look at special features of avatar for some inspiration!
I didn't realise the 'god' could be a non human 'figure'... HUMM.. I'm waiting for one of my project managers to come back from ????? so I think I have a few minutes to keep sketching! |

I'm liking the head shape [kinda Easter Island-esque] you've got in the bottom right of the last sketch page. I'd like to see you explore that more.
