Dominance War V - 3D - God of __ - E4sY
Should be fun to come up with my own God character. I should have the start to a concept up by early next week.

Cordero - I know right. Just hope I can move through sculpting fast enough to catch up with everyone.
Below are some of my main reference photo's. I'm going for a God of War. His skin is a hard diamond like material so that's why Colossus is included as a reference. ![]() ![]() ![]() Below is my base mesh and the start of the main wolf character. I'm going to get the proportions of the body correct before starting to work out clothing and armor ideas. ![]() ![]()

working out the porportions/anatomy of the character before designing the character is a good idea...
it will be interesting how you go about making this original and not just a generic werewolf.

miclepickle - I know the Colossus skin tone will give some god likeness so far. Just have to finish the base and brainstorm.
zugok - Kobayashi's work is definitely the sh*t. I try to use him as reference in all my work. Still working out the porportions. ![]()

Nice start, interesting concept, I wonder how this one'll turn on.
Foot/hands/jaw/hears/face (I'm just pointing work zone imo) Keep it up!

washka - Thanks for pointing out the area's that need work. It's definitely come in handy to reference it while sculpting.
The porportions r close to final. ![]()

I think the hands need to be a bit bigger. I know you haven't gotten to detailing yet, but I'd like to say that you should look at references of doberman pinscher, I know the god is supposed to be a wolf and not a dog, but I refer to that because I think the streamlined angry look thats common with those types of dogs are something I think about when I think of canine like god of war. Anubis warriors are another reference you can take from, here's a good example I found. Hope this helps and im not just talking outta my ass.

Pockets - The idea about the doberman reference sounds good. I didn't think about the fact that they have a natural mean look. I see what u mean about the hands. I'll give em some scale by next update. Again, really good call with the doberman; I can probably find better ref for it then the wolf since it's more domestic too.

Starting to design some rough shapes for the armor and clothes.

Stealing your polygons!

Overall its coming along pretty well. Couple crits tho. The back muscles, the one at the top [trapezius] needs to extend up the neck further, and you're missing the the bottom 2/3 of that muscle altogether I think.
On the front, you've made the rib cage too wide, it should come down lower more in the front, as you have it wraps to far around before coming down. ![]() The lower legs need a bit of an overhaul, I'm sticking some reference of dog legs here, hopefully that'll get you going in the right direction with them. ![]()

Warlock 279 - I really had only a small sized reference of a dogs back legs, so this will help a lot.
Also, thanks for the paintover on the muscles. I'll get to editing that as well before the next update.

And a tail, definitely! It's not even negotiable, don't argue.

I would probably spend a little more time working out the concept at this point.
Also, maybe you should should try a different type of dog and different body type. Looking a little typical of what you'd expect from a man-dog mix, reminds me a little too much of Anubis. How about something like this: + = ? |
