Smoke Grenade Turbosmooth problem
Hey,
So I'm modeling this smoke grenade just for practice and all is good up till the moment I boolean a circle, first I used pro boolean but since that removed about 90% of the edges on my model I went with normal boolean which appears not to create any problems until I applied turbosmooth... Before boolean: ![]() After Boolean: ![]() ![]() The geometry: ![]() I've tried 2 things, removing the turbosmooth modifier and reapplying it, and removing the polygons and recreating the mesh, none helped. I really don't understand how this is happening since the geometry is the same, the only thing I did was create a hole in it. I thought removing the polygons would fix it since there is obviously something wrong with it, but I guess I was wrong... ![]()

did you tired checking smoothing groups and did you tired to export the original low poly model and reimporting it back? and post a wire of the same image with problems but with turbo smooth aplied. it ususaly show the problem area and what is wrong
. and if you want upload this part of granade in .max file (no higher than max 2010) or .obj and i'll look at it closer. |

you could have deleted the faces in the area & bridged them again.
