Cool silhouettes you've got going so far. I think the weapon needs a handle of some sort somewhere, if the handle went on the right, it would make a crazy sword, on the left I'm feeling more of a gun. Nice start, if you knuckle down you can still make it in time with ease.

Here's a zsketch that I roughed out for the head. Just exploring some ideas. I'll have to retopo the head to get some decent detail into it as you can tell by the horrible geo I have right now. More to come!!!

wow nice job with that! im really digging the face, neck and muscles, but im not a big fan of the horns. imo theyre waaay too big and dont make all too much sense.

Here are some more progress shots. I first zsketched the body rather quickly and then I retopoed to head to the body using Max's graphite tools. Rather painful actually with using my fav.....Topogun!!!! Also I started sculpting just the torso area and adding some decent detail. Comments and crits welcomed

Your polygon density seems a little sporadic in your base mesh, but it certainly doesn't seem to be hurting your sculpt any. Looks pretty awesome.

Yeah I'm sort of new to Max's retopoing abilities so I was sort of out of my comfort zone I guess. I really dig Topoguns tools tho. Thx for the comments!!!

My retopo tip for you is to create a low poly retopo mesh (one you might add a subdivision smoothing to), subdivide the mesh once then edit that mesh. That way, you won't go too crazy with the polygons and it will give you a cleaner more well distributed mesh. The final editing stage will help you with adding polys to tighter areas and get rid of unnecessary extra polygons from the subdivision in step 2.
