Some more work done on the glass shader, I have gotten the face to look right, but i kinda lost the reflection in the glass, you can see a reflection on the outer beveled part of the glass. This is the way Rolex product pictures look like http://maxcdn.fooyoh.com/files/attac...ph-daytona.jpg, so im getting there.
But il keep working on it and see where it goes from here.

It's about time i start working on this again. My computer isnt the best, so i have to fiddel around abit with the rendering so it wont crash. Thats why i took a break 6months ago.
But hopefully i get a fulltime job in the near future so i can afford a upgrade. Well no updates yet just wanted to give a heads up that im still working on this. Updates will hopefully be up later today. thanks for the great comments guys.

Thanks for the nice comment Fotology
Yeah those details sure took alot of time to get right ![]() Well as i said earlier here comes the update. It's far from perfect just a quick 1minute render and some test materials. But atleast im back on it again. The stand i have modelled is based of this one http://i547.photobucket.com/albums/h...9/334c819f.jpg Just have to work more on the stand materials, because the one i have now aint looking that good.

Here comes an updated and higher res version. No color correction on this one, I did it on the last update. But dont feel like it now =/, gotta get som sleep.
Edit: I decided to color correct anyway, sleep can i get later. The only thing i have changed is the stand material. Which now is a more sandlike material. But gotta work more on that. Higher res version can be found here: http://imageshack.us/a/img267/2206/r...3corrected.jpg ![]()

I have been working on this during the day. And i think i have decided to go with this Marble/gold version of the stand. Because i think that one gives it a more luxurious feel
I have been trying out Rebusfarm today. But only the trial yet thats why it got that red text overlay. I planning on upgrading the ram in the computer and going 64bit in the near future too. So maybe that can sort my renderproblems out. ![]()

Thanks Predrag.
Im happy with the watch, just some minor things i like to show up more, like the golden rolex badge on the stand, and then render the glass too. But i can render it in passes and do those things in the compositing, aswell as add some dof an such.
