my work in porgress character, plz have a look

Hi i am new to maya and am making my first character in it. please have a look and say anything about it regarding its shape or meshflow. i am not that good of a character drawing person. so... anyhow looking for your response.

Hello mate, welcome to the forum!

If this is your first character, it is very well made, he has a nice cartoon style, also a nice topology. The only thing I think you need to improve is the jaw bone in the side view, you may want to look at some references to see how it must be placed. Also... I think you need to improve a little bit the ear, it is so flat!
Other than that, your character looks very nice. Keep it up

yes jawline was disturbing me a lot too to be honest, so surely will look into it. i wanted to make a very simple ear with very simple structure, i couldnt really understand what does flat mean? does it mean he dsnt have the inside skin or ..... still not getting it.

fixed the jaw or at least i think i did.

is it fine now or i need to work on it again.

Yes, it is much better now!.. mmm... for the ear i meant that it maybe should have a better shape, but you're rigth if you want to keep it simple. I don't have much experience in cartoon style, so from that point of view you can keep it like that
