Nice composition mate, this is a pretty original piece =D
His foot is still a bit confusing to me tho, especially how the rocks around it work. |

[Maniac mode on]
You could add to the blade the cutting specular line, with a lill' light speckle. [Maniac mode off] And onto the eye. (sorry)

This gob...you're da maniac!
![]() Those studies are more than studies, like 5 and 8. speculars...brightness...hard light...but I ain't sure it'll work with your "flame" lightning.

washka, ooooooh i see what you mean now, you're right i could add some here and there, so thats what i did! that kind of specular reflecting light its only very visible if the surface its very clean/polished, in this case the iron plaques are supose to be very rusty so it will have more mate reflection, BUT it can still slightly reflect specular light so you are right anyway
![]() Btw guys i got an awesome feature at http://slixart.com/theartists/amazin...ohn_silva.aspx go check it out! ![]() So by popular vote, i'll go with voice over the paintover, meanwhile i fixed some stuff, added more metal plaques and darkened areas: ![]() |

The fire sperm in the background are a little distracting. Might be better if there was less flame and more smoke to blend them in a little better

Hey John,
Awesome update, mate!! I like both and its really hard to pick a fav. I think the left one has a more psychedelic feel to it - what I like a lot. Muahahahaha ![]() Right one is looking pretty good too. But I think I'm missing some elements on the right side (e.g. screen). Keep sharing your great work, mate! |

the right one has more appeal due to following the rule of thirds or i should closer than the other image.
the left one is great as it comes out to be more finished and complete, whereas as malo said the left one is missing somethng. just my 2 cents i hope i helped u nainil the beavers. |

Nice tones, like the lightning.
The volumes decomposition/shading is quite interesting too.
