Problem with MeshSmooth
Hello, i'm trying to do a car with 3Ds max, and when i've clicked on "MeshSmooth" this shape come up:

you must maintain constant edge flow especially on smoothing areas - in flat areas you can have topology of marilyn monroe but due to it's being a flat surface and smoothing process not affecting it, it doesn't matter.
Secondly you shouldn't have as many edges per that curve, too much since if smoothing process only acts from one edge to another - more edges you'll get limiting effect of smoothing and not the opposite Thirdly use turboosmooth as it's more optimised I've attached rough paintover as promised, but i highly recommend you leaving 1 edge and getting rid of 4 to it's side, then leaving 5th and getting rid of another 4 and so on. Nicer smoothing and less topology to worry with since you must have edge flow - more edges more work, more possible errors |

edge extrude or simply select the edges and Shift+MOVE tool in the desired direction
only problem is that you have to delete the polygon that now doesn't have those edges OR you can just use CUT tool with edge or vertex selection and cut that polygon surface as in the paintover |
