Wow, sad to see you leaving Sathe, but you taught me a lot
![]() I'm also lost in what I want to do. I'm certainly not making any money doing CGI though as my job is in a warehouse and has been for 5 years... Now that is what I call being lost ![]() Good luck with everything. Hope to hear from you soon My music is very experimental ambient, classical, etc, etc. Can't really explain it, but I don't feel like I'm ever going to do anything with it though I'd like to be able to produce stuff a lot faster. Almost everything is WIP on that page. All but one, and that could do with some work: http://www.soundcloud.com/musical_kage Mood Synth follows onto Content Synth, and then Noise.

Depends on style, but could pull it off as long as it's not dependent on sculpting.
Sounds like you need the work too though? Thanks.

Everything is going better than expected.
I've gone from modeling IronMan to BECOMING an Ironman. Training for hours every day for hours, eating an immaculate diet and focused as hard as I was when starting CG. **** it feels GOOD to be in control again and motivated enough to change myself. I feel I peaked mentally, as in got to the point where I was forgetting things to learn new things, but wrecked myself physically now I'm fixing that. Booyah, and thanks for the helpful words in the thread.

I think most of you are very lucky to be where you are.
I for one haven't found a single job in the CG sector yet... I'm wondering myself whether it is where I want to be, but I have no real idea where I want to be. I would accept an offer to move somewhere though for sure. Maybe London? I don't know. I just know I need change, and quite fast. I'm certainly not going to find many jobs here in Manc, UK At the moment, I'm 24, stuck in a sales job, where I have been for the past 5 years dealing with customers. No university degree as I have no idea what I want to do/be, after I left uni ages back now, from animation as I realized it wasn't for me when I kept getting criticized on my realism in projects. I decided animation basically wasn't for me. Least not in the character aspect of things. I'm just left where I am, with what I feel, my creativity, and even intellect slipping from me. So well done to all you lot, honestly for doing what you have achieved. I think you should all stick to it, if you enjoy it, personally. I just wish the 3D sector paid more than £30,000 max from what I've seen in job postings salary wise, but even that is more than what I'm on by... 20 grand? lol
