Gaming Instructor Wanted
Sorry to spam this here, seemed like the only logical spot.
Seneca College in Toronto ON, requires several part-time (3-10 hours per week) 3D instructors for our 8 month game course. We are looking for several instructors from the game industry who are skilled in specific areas to join our existing team of industry professionals. Some of the areas we are looking for are in level design, character modeling, and environment, level, and asset building. Experience on at least 3 shipped titles is a must. Prerequisites: Fluent in 3DS Max 5 and Photoshop Be able to use these tools to design and build characters, levels, environments and assets in many styles Be able to unwrap characters and assets and prepare them for texturing Have solid traditional art skills with a good understanding of game and level design Ability to work with minimal direction, and take initiative with advancements in the game curriculum and development Love to play games Pluses: Experience in the Mod community and the ability to import assets and textures into various game engines such as Half-life, Combat Flight Sim, Unreal, or Freedom Force is a definite asset Understanding of the Unreal Editor and Unreal Scripting An expert in Photoshop and it's use to create realistic and stylized textures for characters, buildings and assets Understanding of the technology and limitations of current and future console, pc and online games is a plus Start Date: Start date of this position August 25th 2003. Compensation: Minimum of $54 per hour commensurate on experience. We encourage all of our instructors to actively work in the game industry and would attempt to accommodate professional schedules.
