unwrapping a model
When unwrapping a model is there any way to remove edges (no verts will be removed) from the model when you're half way through the unwrapping or even finished without loosing all your work.
that's one bad sentence ![]() max 5 btw

this shouldn't be a problem unless you're removing a texture chunk edge. what i always do is after i'm done unwrapping a section or what not i collapse the stack so that the tc's are baked into the verts. then you can do what you want with edit poly and it should hold up ok, especially if the model is fairly dense.
however, as you know i'm sure, you unwrap into chunks of faces and layout in the unwrap interface. if you should get rid of an edge that defines the border of a chunk, that could run you into some problems. good luck holmes -k
