Hello!
This is my render of The Parthenon of Greece.

The model was created in Softimage XSI 5.1 with many objects and duplicated.
I added a different textures in blocks and columns.
Illuminated with a spot light and FG with HDRI image.

Thanks! :)

Wow, thats great!

You know what would make that even more realistic? You know as you get into the background? Try adding a Depth of Field effect. Especially with parts of the building you can see past the pillars at the front. That'd really add to the effect.

You know? The new Geforce 7900 video card comes with a demo like that to test the card out in real time, using that exact building!

very nice, I take it you used mental ray to render? Would love to see your setup and settings.
Did you model this your self?

Hello!
Yes, I used MentalRay. Is great.

This evening I upload a wireframe and a image with the settings of FG. :)

Thanks!

Ah, it wasn't a Nvidia demo like I thought. It was an ATI demo:

http://www.ati.com/designpartners/media/edudemos/RadeonX1k.html

Except this running of it doesnt need hours to render. its simply a real time demo showing the power of the new GPU's.

Thats where I heard the name :p

I don't knwo why. Even though I'm into 3D rendering and that, the idea of real time rendering interests me more, with the technology thats available now.
I wonder when a 3d package will arise that could run all on the Video card without the CPU's help?
