View Full Version : editable mesh or editable poly in 3ds5?

Well, I'll keep it short. Which of the two do you prefer?

seriously, use edit poly. with the integration of winged edge from lazlo sebo's meshtools. edit poly is a thousand times more powerful than edit mesh. and also you can always switch between the two so whatever you use you can always go back. right now the only time i use edit mesh now is for real time work i do at work to check and make sure i've been as efficient with my polys as possible.

I tried to find lazlo sebo's meshtools but all I found were versions for 3dsmax4. Does it exist for 3dsmax5, and if it does, where can I find it?

meshtools 2.5 will work for max 5 but most of the tools are already stock in max 5 edit poly. however there is a meshtools 3.0 that laz made. only place i've ever seen it though is on cd 2 of the max 5 set. it has some of the tools that were in the older versions that weren't packed into the stock editable poly and some new stuff.

man that guy is amazing, in a single script he gave max the power of mirai's modeler. i wish i could meet him and buy him a beer.
