Issues with Refractions in Reflections

Having an issue trying to solve. I have a chrome object that's apart of a object that has translucency. The issue is when you look at the reflection of the translucent object on the chrome object, it doesn't appear translucent within the reflection. How can I resolve this.

Using Autodesk Maya 2012, using Mental Ray to render, using a phong object for the chrome, and phong object for the translucent object. Using these shaders to save on render times. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Check your trace depth. Make sure your render engine has enough to 'see' through your object.
I like it, it's big, its gold, its fancy, FANCY PANTS!
