Question Help with Fixing UV layouts

Hello,

Currently, I am working with a client who is sending me models scanned through an Artec Scanner. "http://www.artec3d.com/" They come completed with the texture looking fine but the UV layout is totally out of wack. Ive attached some pictures to show my dilemma. If anyone has some suggestions on how to acquire a clean UV layout please let me know. Ive emailed Artec about this problem but have not received any response back.

Much thanks!

Matt R

You can transfer the texture to a different uv set using transfer maps - id copy the existing one, tidy it up and do that .
Unless you have like 50 of them to do in which case id just leave it.
Why do you need to change them?

Hmm. I asked their support couple of times. They answered me each time. Do you sure you used https://www.artec3d.com/support ?

Why do you need to change UVs? yes it looks terrible, But it gives no problems while rendering. The only way I know is to create new UV layout and then bake old texures to a new UV map. I usually do it after retopology, cause I need mesh with less polygons. So I bake both diffuse and normal maps.
