gamma setting for compositing

Hi guys,

I wanted to compose by render elements in Nuke using Mr and 3ds max, unfortunately there aren't so many tutorials about that topic..so it'll be a bit more difficult, but the real problem is what gamma setting I have to use to export the render elements from 3ds max and Mr to nuke? I found out some different tutorials, one of them ( by render elements in vray) where the guy turned off completely the "gamma/LUT correction" setting and the "material and colors" setting as well, and another tutorial where the guy just changed the output Gamma to 1.0...so at this point I was wondering what the right way is....
any solution guys?

well basicly setting output gama works good only with mental ray. working with vray you can set output gama but dont forget to set it in colour maping settings.

so you mean the second setting works correctly just by Mental ray??

it works for everything but in vray you wont get the qualitie if colour maping isnt set right.
