Joseph : I dont think we are allowed to split the mesh into different subtools as that would be altering the basemesh

just to be sure though we had better ask,

Freespace-3DT is it ok to split the mesh into smaller chunks so we can get more subdivisions ?

im still going to try the HD geometry option though as this could be very helpful to me for future projects

Crispy4004: I understand what it's like to have so many things to do and so little time. Think it over carefully, and if you've got 8 hours over the next month, I hope you'll grace us with a hybrid.

liquidbear: Good start, just remember to make him/it powerful looking, even if he's sleak and thin. Even a weaker hybrid could still cause serious damage with a kickass weapon.

Joseph: What do you plan to do with the pedestal?

darkmonk: Technically, you're doing it within Zbrush, so it should be allright.

freakmean: Just look at the rules, you've got until the 20th July to submit. Showing work in progress is definetely recommended, as people can comment and help you out if you've got trouble.

It could go be interesting, but let's keep it as a pedestal. You could have it made out of the dead skulls of your hybrid's enemies, or something, as long as it is an environment for the hybrid to interact or stand upon.

Im a bit new to sculpting, ive done some fooling around in zbrush a few times but ive never really sat down and tried to finish something big as this, but i thought id start somewhere.

This is a wip i did of todays sculpting, i originally had the same idea (man rhino thing) on a different model so im sortof recreating the parts i finished on the other sculpt and applying more of the biomechanical aspect to it.

Check out the final submission threads to give you an idea of what you can do with a character in a challenge. Of course you can pose the characters so long as it is done in the sculpting program you are using.
