XNormal vs. the usual method of getting Normal Maps

Well, I just downloaded Xnormal just to test it out and I though it was a wonderful tool. It quickly gives you normal maps/occlusion maps/height maps etc etc. And it really is quite easy to use. However, I did notice when I brought the normals into max, sometimes, they got screwed up, but it is quicker than projecting by hand. So, I was wonder what all of your takes are on this tool.

Xnormal is very good but sometimes the results are a bit wayward. I normally use a combination maps generated by both Xnormal and Max's render to texture and then use a 2d app to stitch the best bits into a single map

Or use a combination of normals + bump. In some occasions this will give great results.
