Push it a bit more Cordero, we're not far from deadline, outline/detail what you wanna show, hide a bit what you don't wanna show. Big-Toe gived to you some nice idea. Sometimes inspiration comes again when your back onto the work.

On a work/project there is always a time when motivation drops, it looks like craps and you want to remake everything. It's a common attitude we all get soon or later, just because there is an evolution and changes that's on any work. One of the cause (despite tolerance reach) is simply your own critical attitude, hard to overcome, you can think about finality. Don't give up man!

Thought I might join in
Started this 2 days ago, but other things have been slowing my progress.
also had issues with rendering, but I posted that on another part of the forum
This will be a high poly project so i hope everything goes well. (I hope my GTX 460 can handle the poly count)
Its starting to look like a walking Roman shield, which was not planed for but hopefully it will be fixed when texturing

I will add a description in later.

The actual tracks are made from a single track which I then used with a buggy ass script to space them out along a motion path I set up
Then I made sure to set the wheels so that they are positioned in the actual cavities of the track.

start with any oppacity image plane. play with that, see what you can come up with.


Hop on one of this image search images, look for fire, or flames, then slap that sucker on the image plane. Copy the layer, use your levels to make it black and white. Good to go.

Gettin' nice Hula, some more details, especially onto the tank's track and the tower/cannon part.
-A lill' double rocket launcher (flat enough) in top/front/border of each tracks would be a plus, on just one track it could be enough (will break symetry).
-A shovel, a tow cable bobine, a lill' ladder, those kind of lill' accesories to push out credibility.
You should start unwrap/texturing.

astroAJ, nice concept so far.

Maybe I'll enter da challenge and make some looooww poly stuff with a quick tex on it (nothing excessive, just for da participation fun). Still undecided, I'll think about it.

Hey everyone,

Im going to be entering the competition. I just want to make sure that this weapon can be anything we choose? From old time dominance to present to future?? This is my first time doing a 3D challenge and I want to make sure I follow the rules.

Update time

Just wanted to test the smoothing n stuff.
I'm only going to uv map the main armour parts or else its going 2 take 2 long.
Also the front plate is going to be a see through plastic, I think.
