Sweet start, the container thing reminds me of Gaara from Naruto and I'd really love seeing some water flowing out of it too on the final image. The God itself flowing out of it is cool already tho

Hey bear, looks like you're off to a great start here. I think your earlier concepts were moving more in the right direction than your later concepts.

Also, I have to say I'm against the water jug idea. I think it makes her look a little bit too much like a traveling merchant of sorts.
I think a better solution to the jug would be a smaller glass vile that she could wear as a necklace or otherwise carry in her hand. Perhaps even storing them in a globe on the end of a staff or something like that. I just think the water jug is too gaudy/cumbersome.

The fins are a good addition though, but I would consider toning them down a bit. Think Abe Sapian from Hellboy. Also, I think the face needs just the slightest bit more definition. The profile view makes the face look very flat, so perhaps just a slight bump to the nose area would help it.

cheers for all that snapped strings the jug is just a concept idea but i have another idea for it but i will post a pic off what i have in mind tonight or in the morning.

the fins are going to be more tucked in at the final i just have them spread for showing
As for the face im not to happy with it either and will explore alot more avenues during the week. I want to give her a fishy head and the first one i went for is Paraná type.

Now on the weapon front i am going with a whip buuuuuut ... how does the head of lavethan sound with the mouth open and the water whip spewing from its mouth. As the body is wrapped around her arm.

If I'm understanding you right, you want to do a sort-of Prince of Persia 3 type thing, where the whip wraps up her arm? Then have the head of the leviathan as the handle and a water-spout whip?

Coz that sounds seriously badass

Some things are getting lost in translation from your 2D concepts to 3D model. The big difference is your 2D is considering the flow of the form and building on it. This is something you need to resolve ASAP if you want the entire figure to work. Extra parts and definition should feel like an extension of the flow of the figure and the only real way to make that happen is to nail the sense of weight of your base.

Think about how even in a symmetrical stance, you have a pose. Go look at yourself in a mirror from the side and take some deep breaths. Watch how your arms and neck react when your back ever so slightly shifts. Your body constantly balances itself to keep a natural relaxed pose, so that's what you need to model from.

Arch that back pushing out the the rib cage and abdomine, rotate those arms slightly back, rotate the hands back as well. (I personal would bring the arms slightly in, but you don't have to) Then look at say the shoulder pad, it's straight, flat and boring, killing the natural curves of the body. Make it follow some implied lines and you'll have a much stronger model.

I know this all probably sounds like common sense, but it's something everyone needs to remind themselves of from time to time. Again looking at your 2D stuff, I know you've got it. It just has to carry over a little better.

cheers for all that i know about the arched back i am going to do alot off anatomy studies in zbrush ... I am gonna change up that shoulder pad now cheers for pointing it out

I must say thanks alot for pointing this out to me it helps alot more to crit something

ok that was a looong weekend without 3d ha
i am starting my sculpt now with a few problems that when imported from max my meshes change topology ??
so i took a break from fixing that and made a few 5 min sketches of whips handles
