I think you've got a really nice look going for a god. Not over armored nor bulky. Seems to exude a bit of a wise look.

Base mesh looks pretty much ace. I might suggest that things are looking a little dense in his hips/waist area relative to the rest and would probably knock out a loop or two, but I'm sure it'd work fine as is.

Also, is that Blender I see?

Indeed it is Blender

I'll sculpt in ZBrush, do the hard-surface in Blender, use MoPKnit in Maya, texture in Photoshop, and Render in Marmoset. That's the plan anyways.

Yeah, his hips actually won't be sculpted because most of him is covered in clothes or armor. Definitely agree with you though. Overall, it's not a great mesh for sculpting with. I also have 2 less weeks to finish this than everyone else, so there's corners I'll have to cut. Probably shouldn't have spent so much time on the base mesh as is :P

even out the geometry a little more, at the moment you won't get as much detail into the chest area. where'as the ears will get a ton. You want your geometry as even as possible so you don't have to re-topo later.

Also, yea, Only sculpt what you see above the armor! it will save time

and that MoPKnit is awesome, totally nabbing that!

Nice start on the armor, the neck guard and pauldron are looking nice. I'd say you can maybe get a bit more thickness to the thigh armor, right now it's blending pretty easily into the silhouette of your character.

@Puck: thanks! The thigh armor actually should change the silhouette because it will restrict the clothing around that area. Hopefully it'll work out when I get it into Z-Brush.

I'm having troubles designing some clothes, armor parts etc for my char, nothing seems to match the concept I had in mind.
