Nice progress :-) Something bugs me about the proportions, though. Don't know, the feeling just isn't there. But it's close :-) Maybe it's the head... And the tie needs work but I am sure yu know that :-) Definitely liking what I see here

And my piece of work. Went to see the Expendables (meh, meh...) and rendered meanwhile. The front part is almost done (few details around windows and signal device) and back part is next.

Great progress, looks awesome so far fits for the guy!

i tried to fix the proportions so it has the feel which was missing what do you think?
i think one or two days and i'm done with the high poly.

Better now :-) But something is with shoulders. Not sure, but try to move them closer to the head and little lower, so it's not straight line. With fatter guy like this, shoulders will be more tucked in to the mass, since body fat won't make your bones move :-)

Also the sleeves looks little short and suit could be little longer, so it creates line with ******. I think the feeling is little lost because of the top part of the suit looking little small for a person of his size :-)

Good progress though, great you have time for both this and ToE project :-)

yeah you are right. i tried to the shoulders, but i didn't moved them enough. Thats is what i hate the most, when i just miss the correct sizes, and i end up not seeing where i should modify it... but i must get this things done before moving on, so i'm gonna post some updates soon.

I am sure it will be ok next update :-) When you can lay down proportions well, there is nothing that can stop you :-)

And my piece of update. Few details still missing, but those are really details. Then I am moving to the engine part. There few quite nice pictures of it around the internet, so I will exploit them to the max :-)

I think i finally got a suitable version of this guy. next to one of the older version, the difference is obvious. Time to fix things up like the tie, and the area around it.

Anyone has any idea how i could fix the wavy areas? like the end of the pants, or the sleeves. I should have extruded the borders before moving it to zbrush, but i believe there is a tool for this somewhere in the program. (so the goal is to add volume to those areas. i did extrude the border on the item which hides the tie, and it works alright. but i forgot to do that on other areas.)
any ideas?

cordero - the problem is that your geometry does not have thickness. So when you smooth, the geomtry has no where to grab on. Add the second layer that would go below. And add that piece that a different polygroup so you can hide it quicker. Im not sure if im making sense so let me know.

Also, you need the thickness anyway. Right now the pants and the sleeves and the neck areas all look like floating pieces of paper.

By the way, this is turning out awesome guys! keep it up!

I found out, that if i mask the whole piece i want to add thickness for, and then hit extract in the subtool palette, it adds the thickness which i'm after.

What did you mean by second layer? and below? i didn't know there are layers inside of zbrush. (which is where i export my model from to 3dsmax, and then i post it up here)

Zlatovous: the car looks awesome so far! I'm just confused by its width, it looks too "thin". Or is it a one person vehicle?
And i was wondering, how should we present the car, and the character at the end together? Maybe a little street scene? Or just a pedestal?
I'm good with any options, we just have to split the work, and we are good to go!

Cordero: I think it will look ok once I put front seats in there. Still waiting for respond from the museum... But maybe it really is too thin :-) I will take a look at it, compare with refs

About the presentation, some pedestal will be enough I think. Making some bigger environment could take a lot of time and I don't know if I have that time at my hands :-) But we will see when we finish our current fellas :-)

i would have to show u when i get home with pictures. lol. You got it working tho, but the whole point is that u just need some kinda geometry for your border geometry to hold on from.

Just notice how things shrink when you smooth.

Meathead :-) He looks like some peon without brain for threatening people and breaking their bones. I always pictured someone more classier than that. But it's your choice, everything will fit :-) Also, what's with his nose?

On the other note, here is finally something I've been working on past two days - gathered all references I could and tied up together an engine. There are slight variations in every picture I've got plus some parts I had to think in, but the main characteristics of the engine are here and that's important. Hope you like it :-)

Oh i take that as a positive sign That was the look i was after. Thats a patch on his nose, and its been broken a few times, thats the reason why its so big. But i guess thats a bit of an overkill right there
What do you mean by classier by the way? Like Al Pacino in scarface?

I like the look of the engine. looks complex enough how is the museum permission going?

The permision is still pending. Noone responded... But I will probably be able to make it thru without another visit at all.

Yeah, I thought it was patch, but wasn't sure :-)

Something like Al Pacino, yeah. Just make him more unique :-) But that's probably question of additional objects (like suit and accesories) rather than a body :-) So I said nothing, do your magic, it works well :-) I have no real crits so far

z - that engine is looking awesome. Mind posting your reference?
cordero - the head is headed on rigth direction. Tho, i would say this looks a lot like your skater guy ( the shape and features of the face ) Are you using any reference at all? or are you just throwing in your own flare of things?
