I've decided to go for a Demon Prince.

This is a very early sketch for a concept. But what I'm going for is Big, brawny, ugly clad in higly decorated (celtic) armor, with some demonic elements, like the triple jointed legs.

I haven't decided on the weapon he's weilding, either an axe or a warhammer, but either way, it'll be decorated to hell. he'll be about 270 cm 8'10" feet.

Oh, and assymmetry = love.

Looks neat, and angry

I would make him even heavier set perhaps? Although that would be pushing Demon Lord territory perhaps.

great concept so far. sounds like you're going to have one hell of a time playing with ornate Celtic knots in some sculpting program. Good luck with that. Any specific reasons for Celtic? Was his great grandfather some evil Irishman banished to hell or something?

Wow, thanks guys.

Yeah, I'll probably end up "borrowing" the proprotions and anatomy of Epic's Gears of War and Unreal 3.

VersionThirst, nah.. I just like the look of them celtic knots.. nothing deep

I really like the feet and legs! Only point I'd propably work on is the head... it looks quite old to me.

You know, JuST.. I completely agree with you..

I'm thinking of sculpting 3-5 different heads and see which one will look best..

I've been busy today. Made a mid-res sculpt of the dude in Mudbox which i imported into Max and used Cyfer's awesome topology tool to build the low-poly model.

I've pretty much finished the torso, chest and arms, the legs are still very rough. I'm hoping I can have the whole organic side of him about 4000 - 4500 tris so his armor and weapon can be epic!.. oh, and he'll have a pet alongside him..

Thanks guys.

Haven't had that much time to work on the dude today, but still managed to address the poly flow, especially the back.. looks much better now.

hopefully, tomorrow I can start on the armor.

school's crazy, so I haven't had as much time to work on this dude as I've wanted.

but, i've pretty much finished the body now. I have yet to decide how the head's gonna be, but My plan is to have it no more than 2000 tris, leaving plenty of room for the armor and weapon. I'm pretty sure I'll throw originality out the windows and let him have a Warhammer.
