yes it's looking much better. I wouldn't hesitate to make it even bigger. To give it that dinosaur leg look. I definitely agree that the style is infinitely better and fits much better with the body. I might also beef up the hip joint, maybe make the cylinder part match the wheel-looking thing in the leg, only a bit bigger, & i'd make the track a bit bigger too. I can't wait to see more.

very nice work so far, great polyflow in the tail area. If you can budget it, i would even make the tail fully segmented with cogs and gears in the gaps or something. Go for it.

Nice, very nice. Progress is looking fantastic. I really like the new design of the leg. It almost looks like it should have some spikes or something running down it's back, but not sure if you would have the poly's for that or not.

SR_6274 : Hmm.. spikes eh? ill see what it looks like. i will be reducing whatnot when i am making the low poly cage. here is what i was doing on the tail. i think i have to go back and sketch out something for it. not favoring the tail design i have so far.

Big-Toe : the geosphere helps, thank you. it reduced the poly count of the sphere from 58 to 36 something. huge difference so i guess i will be using that.

but i agree with omegamista a dinasaur leg would look cool. That tail not only looks cool but seems quite strong, maybe it could be a weapon as well, like if the worm was surrounded by enemies it would raise the tail and then smack it to the ground causing a sort of quake. And it could use the dinasour legs to jump to another location.

I like the vibe your going on. Personally I would make the head/mouth area of the worm a bit larger on the diameter and perhaps a bit longer. Really to act as a counter balance for what appears to be a really heavy tail. Looks pretty sweet though.

Yeah it was way thinner before. i have been widening it, so i guess i need to do it more.
So while i waited for response back i came up with another design.

The bottom worm is cool, although it could do without the cuts along the bottom. Make those tentacle thingies longer so it can have further reach.

I'm liking the worm in blue, in part because it works better against the orange of the body, and also because its just cooler lookin'. Nice work so far, I'm looking forward to seeing more for sure.
