Joseph Pomeisl - thanks. i changed the eyes. saved around 80 polys. i'm gonna start using geospheres from now. never used it before :P

more updates.


the proportion compared to the sketch is a bit off. but i'm not gonna worry bout that yet.. i'm gonna play around with the propostions when it's fully modeled anyway. a little worried about tri count tho.. it's at 2390 tris now. it is probably ok.. its my first <10k tri model so maybe i'm just thinking too much about it :P

make the model the way you want it then worry about cleaning it up to 10k later. you have an awesoem idea just finish it before you start hacking it down with budget counter.

Love the shapes and forms so far. If you're looking to save tri's though, don't worry about the eyes, they can be completely mapped, you probably don't need to spend any geometry on them.

+1 about the integration of the cannon, but I don't know if it's gonna be easy. The problem, it's the position of the cannon and the head, maybe two cannon, or the cannon under its chest? Those are just suggestions because I really like the progress of your work, and your concept is really inspirating and it has originality.

Looking cool, love the canon. I think maybe you need to add another joint on the hind legs, so that the lower leg is angled in the other direction. It doesn't look like he can push off those back legs as it is.
