Whoo guys!
I spent my day thinking about doing some Killer Instinct character, but i didnīt found any good image of the characters and i think that in 6 hours i wouldnīt make a good piece.
So i decided to do this ugly, funny and bad ass little man ^^

not to come off rude or anything, but shouldnt this competition be about pure video game characters and not characters from other mediums that have had games made about them. i mean there are an endless amount of them so it shouldnt be hard to pick one.

mastein: As much as I love the Dragonball universe ( except for GT.... yuck ), I'm afraid Hardtack's got a good point. We should focus on original game characters. Don't worry, if there's an opportunity, there may be a comic-book/manga challenge soon.

Neto: Good start. I'm curious how you're gonna integrate her into that pedestal. Proportionally speaking, her head might be a bit too big vertically ( I know her hair is freaky in the game too, but yours is like 4% bigger ) and that ear is gonna eat us alive.

So only a bust is allowed then? If you do a full body sculpt the Final submission should be a shcreen shot of only the bust?

As I said in the challenge brief, you can do anything you want ( head, bust, full body ). It all depends on your preference and how you thing you will balance the time you have available between quantity and quality. The final submission should be a screenshot of your entire sculpt and a wireframe screenshot of your base mesh ( at subdivision zero ).

Al these Ideas look great Im glad that I did not go with the SF4 character same as NETO. I will be doing one of my classic video games NAMCO's Rolling Thunder (man I just dated myself), Agent Albatross. Good luck to all....This is my first speed sculpt can't wait to learn from you all.

Cool start Neto and Nato

Since I don't want to waist time trying to guess the right proportions while working on the model, I thought it would be a good idea to make a paintover to visualize some proportion tweaks and add-ons, before I restart the clock.

This is what I got.

I am planing on working only on the top arms, and hopefully I'll be able to project the lower ones... Fingers crossed!

Cool, I'm just getting started with sculpting. This will be perfect for practice! Ill probably do an enemy from the Mario series... Ill give it some thought before I completely decide who though.
