The creeper? That's what I think when I look at him. He kinda reminds me of Voldo from Soul Caliber 2 as well.

ill get to those staples later.

larger hands this evening which I thought was a nice idea and also serves as nod back to the original lanky man sketch.

we're sitting at roughly 4k on the body minus accessories. I have larger feet and some muscle definition to attend to but am hoping to get the main mesh in at under 6k as I have a lot of chain to model for the weapon.

speaking of which...
anyone got any hints on how to build low poly chains? it'll look really bad if I use crossed planes but theres no way I'll get 11-12 foot of chain built in under 3k..

Great update. Love the proportions on everything except perhaps the hands...I like them big like that, but they seem a little too thick and meaty for the type of frame this guy is sporting.

Long spindly fingers, like Gollum, is what I figure this guy would have.

Looking great otherwise though.

Looking at it with fresh (ie. sleep blurred) eyes I agree - I'm thinking the fingers are too small for the palms. I'll be bulking him out a bit generally and making him look slightly less like a lady too I think.

I'm loving the topology, esp the groin area. Good job! If you're gonna make an underarm Z axis twist bone I'd suggest putting another loop in the mesh there. As for the hand, what I think makes it look weird is the part on the opposite side of the thumb. It looks a bit too thick, killing the sleek look of the arms. I think the hand/fingers are just a bit too thick in general too, compared to the head balances/body size balance.

Really nice work on the topo. I'm not feeling the hands like others have said (a little too poly heavy at this point), but the rest of the mesh flows so nicely. I actually find it more difficult to do mid to low poly than high. But keep it up I think you're on to something with him.

I you want to bulk him out a bit, maybe you could take a look at Dhalsim from street fighter, he has fairly big arms and chest, but fairly thin waist and legs.

So maybe you could look at that for inspiration.
