Roel - Wasteland - Scout

Hi all,
I've been stalking these challenges for quite some time now and I really want to join this time. My main objective is to finish, one month is really short ... Still looking for inspiration. Ok. I was thinking of a scout. Leather long jacket, backpack, boots, ... My prelim sketch.

In spite of the spambot bump, I like the first on more. Looks more wasteland. the other looks like a uniform for a more prosporious group than what would be found in a waste. IMO of course.

I also think the first one looks better as it looks more like somebody has been living rough in a wasteland, the torn clothing is a better look than the other as it does look more like a Military outfit.

small update. Still thinking how I can make the jacket convincing...
PS does anyone know how you can make a hole in a mesh? The clipbrushes don't seem to work for that...

Hi all. small update. Only had some time to sculpt. I started the back pack and I started to explore the jacket a bit. Still didn't manage to punch that hole, seems like I can only add, not subtract for some reason. not sure why. If not I will just give it some "deflate". PS for the trousers I am now thinking of going for a "Stretch Pants", rather than an army trousers. Could be more interesting to contrast with the big coat. What do you guys think? I urgently need to finish the high poly if I want to finish on time...

small update. worked a lot on the boot, but not happy yet, not sure what's wrong... guess I went overboard on the folds? To do: pants, we all need one. Gloves. Axe. Additional tools. Detailing. This should be done early next week. Then I can start the lowpoly and texturing. Will be in a rush.

A bit of time pressure.... No time and many things to be done. Things I still want to do:

HP
1. axe
2. gloves
3. screw driver (secondary weapon)
4. pockets on the sleeves (?)
5. detail the belts with buckles and details on backpack
6. some wholes in the jacket (?)

LP
Backing
Texturing

Really appreciate any feedback...
ps quality of the screengrabs is not great sorry for that
