An original jumping concept, nice modelisation so far.
I like the top view, maybe some rounder and larger volume on the "shoulders" parts.

Scout has accomplished its reconnaissance mission, going back to the nest...

High poly is looking pretty sweet. I think the leading/front facing edge of the "shoulders" could use a little more detailing yet, maybe just a couple "panel" lines, its looking rather plane compared to a lot of the rest of the model. Nice work so far.

Hello

Do not take this image seriously. I just want to show you something.
You're jumping from big volume to little details, maybe you're missing a scale.
You've got some amazing concept and structure ideas, but you're not pointing enough on it. Maybe you should exagerate more. You can also give it some more credibility, personality. There is an easy "way" for that, you can just think about the meaning, the utility, the function, of those pieces.
The most incredible thing, It's that you've already kinda worked on it.
For exemple the electrical parts on the upper head, or just under the chest, nice details but you don't emphasize it, that's too bad.
Maybe you've just to "push it out", because I think you've already got the skill, it's not really hard.

The modeling is great. But you should work on the sillhuette a bit. To make it more interesting

Way better!
Close up shots .

Is this subdivided (as in 3 in Maya)?
Or just highpoly?

Looking good.

He's got lots of little nooks and details so far. What he needs now are some vents and smaller detail things. Take a couple of the elements you have now, cut them in deeper and fill them with slats so they look like vents.

Maybe a cluster of three or four varying length antenna coming from one spot? Would add interest to the silhouette and could be used to break symmetry without getting carried away.

Anyway, nice work so far, keep it up.
