Gordon13 - Unearthly "The Bullfrog" - 3D Vehicle

The Bullfrog is an Oceanic planetary explorer. With its powerful hybrid engines it can cross vast oceans either above or below.

It can be dropped from orbit and land using parachutes. Once on the water its hydrofoils deploy and off it goes.

Massive waves? No problem, using its small wings to provide lift, it can hop over them and its computers can even map a route allowing it to jump from wave crest to wave crest resulting in more efficient travelling during planet wide storms.

If needed it can dive up to 100 metres under the surface and provide life support for a crew of 3 for up 24 hours.

I'm still playing with overall shape and still have some large components to add.

Critics welcome!

Thanks! I've been refining some of the shapes and added various other details.

Not completely happy with it yet.

I can actually see a vague resemblence to an actual bullfrog around the bow. If that was intended, well done. If not, I say it's a bit of a happy accident there. Nonetheless, It's looking good.

The animal was definitely one of my inspiration (no idea why..) so I'm happy you can see even a little resemblance!

Thanks! Update: Refined it some more. Made the wing connections more realistically attached to the hull rather than just assuming they stick nicely to some imaginary mesh. Plus some miscellaneous stuff.

Any thoughts? I'm thinking of adding ladders and maybe some kind of equipment the crew would need for dealing with extreme situations.

maybe play with the idea that there are plates of metal, welded together, or revited together.

it has kind of a flat green shade on it, maybe get some spec and more colors on there and toss in a couple lights for some shadows. make that ship pop!
