Subject – Wasteland




Thread Naming: Your Name – Wasteland

He opens his eyes to his mother’s cries, checks his surroundings, “Damn”, he thinks to himself. No, wasn’t a dream, or in this case, a nightmare. Still weak from lack of food, he staggers to his feet to check on the rest of the group. He notices the head count is 1 short, his sister has gone missing. He gathers the limited amount of supplies the group can spare and heads out. Not knowing where they may have taken her, he doesn’t look back. Each step forward is a step closer to finding his family member. With barely enough food and water for one day, his last words to the group, “I’ll bring her back.” And with that, he walks off into the wasteland.

Due Date: Sunday March 31st 11:59pm GMT

Idea: (choose one)

Several hundred years in the future, mankind has failed to evolve, watching as the world goes through change after change, slowly getting left behind. Now faced with finding ways to survive the harsh realities that is their life, mankind has a choice to make. Adapt to the situation mother nature has thrown at them, or die.

Character: Create a character that could survive this harsh world. Should be able to breathe and defend themselves, be it a water stricken desert, or a sub-zero climate.

Vehicle: Transportation as we know it will be a thing of the past. With no “normal” fuels, these new aged vehicles will have to be powered by something else.

Environment: What would the world look like a few hundred years from now, after the humans have used and abused all or most of its resources. Create a chunk of it.

Restrictions:

-Joint entries are allowed for this challenge, this means, you can have someone sculpt or model your concept art, but you must do all the conception and drawing yourself.

-Your entry must be specifically created for this challenge.

-You must create a W.I.P Thread to show off your work in progress.

-If you submit a final entry, you must also vote when the time comes

- 1 x Fully rendered drawing of your subject, final image size is up to you, but should be no smaller than 1000 x 1000 pixels.

Stupid question but, is the concept art challenges, 3d or 2d challenges - or doesn't it matter? I'm questioning because the request for this contest is modelled work.

I hope I will have enough time to finish because due date is in 2 weeks from now...
