October 2012 Stylized Challenge #07 - Zombies Everywhere

Introduction: The sunlight crept slowly into the old bar, the light hits the broken glass briefly illuminating it giving it a ghostlike halo... someone stirs from slumber, fear invades their very being quickly as reality sinks in.... sadly what happened last night is true. Many had died last night, family members, friends and neighbours....... news reports had been showcasing what happened on all the major television networks, the outbreak of infected dominated the newspapers too. Nobody knew what caused it and nobody was prepared for what happened next, it was time to fight, time to fight for your very lives because things had changed, before if you died that was it..... but now if you died......... you came back!

Brief: In this new challenge we are asking you to create your very own Zombie character! You can choose anything you can think of, you can create your favourite cartoon characters, celebrities, movie stars, book characters, even yourself!

We are allowing traditional modelling techniques aswell as sculpting in this challenge... the only requirement is that you stylize your creation, and that creation is a Zombie, enjoy it and let's see what you can come up with.

Due Date: Sunday November 4th 11:59pm GMT

Restrictions:

As far as restrictions for your entry you can go just about anywhere with this, but let's try to keep it family friendlyish.... try to steer away from nudity, sexual content..... but horror/zombies etc is fine

Your entry must be specifically created for this challenge. Do not use any pieces from previous works.

There are no lighting restrictions.

You must create a W.I.P Thread to show off your work in progress.

If you post in the final entry thread, you must also vote when the time comes. If you do not, your entry will be disqualified.

Required In The Final Post (1 post per entry):

- 1 x 3D Final Image. If you want to have a background or include some graphical elements or text on your image, it's entirely up to you. Image posts should be around 1280x1024 pixels

- Concept Sheet (if you have one)

- Link to your W.I.P. thread

1st Place - First place gets you �30 worth of 3DTotal downloadable content & a gold award badge.

Hi, I've been hiding out in the speed model thread for long enough. I wanna give this a go. Am I right in assuming that I can model it using Auto-desk Maya?
