3ds Max 2017 isn't working?

I recently got a GeForce GTX 1050 installed in my computer and my computer has a memory RAM of 8 GB which should be enough but when I try to upload models it just goes blank with the program occasionally failing and when I open it up again it says "Virtual device creation failed"

8Gb of RAM is extremely low.
why would you upgrade your gfx card to a 1050 GTX but not upgrade RAM?

besides that, what do you mean, upload models? What does that have to do with Max 2017?
