Lightbulb 3ds Max - Setting up for Real World Measurement Modeling

Hello,

I hope I'm posting in the right spot here. If not, I apologize!

I'm fairly new to 3ds max, but I am familiar with basic modeling techniques.

The problem I'm running into is, I want to model an area in the world (not too large) So I have selected one from Google Earth and saved the image in the highest resolution possible as my template to draw splines from.

So, I created a plane to map this image on as my reference.

Here's my issue, I want to model in real world map sizes, but blowing this image up onto my real world map plane makes everything pixelated... so I'm doing something wrong here. I've tried using 'real world map' in the material box, but no results.

When you are making your reference plane..

You can enter any 'real world' value in the object's length and width in the modify panel.
just type which units you'd like to use.

10m, 1000mm, etc..
works with imperial units as well.

However, this works best if you have a unit system set up.
Customize -> Units Setup.

I have attached the setup I use.
