With the release of the PS4 and Xbox One, video game graphics have never looked better. But let’s not forget where these games started. 8 bit video games got us going. Games like Super Mario Brothers and Donkey Kong, kings of their respective day look like crap now. Let’s change that. Let’s take characters and vehicles from those old school video games and give them their well deserved face lifts. Let’s see what an old school game would look like now.

Due Date: Sunday March 2ndt 11:59pm GMT

Idea:

Pick one…

Character – Take an old school video game character and recreate/redesign them with more up to date game specs. Think Atari, Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis.

Vehicle – Take an old school video game vehicle and recreate/redesign with more up to date game specs. Think Atari, Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Sega Genesis

Restrictions:

-Joint entries are allowed for this challenge, this means, you can have someone sculpt or model your concept art, but you must do all the conception and drawing yourself.

-Your entry must be specifically created for this challenge.

-You must create a W.I.P Thread to show off your work in progress.

-If you submit a final entry, you must also vote when the time comes

- 1 x Fully rendered drawing of your subject, final image size is up to you, but should be no smaller than 1000 x 1000 pixels.

- 1 x Construction layout of your subject. Front, left or right, back if you choose to.

- 1 x Ideas page showing your thought process.
