Thanks CG I will use fibremesh to generate curves that guide fur in maya

Hmm this is my first time using fibermesh. I don't have enough control over it so I'll do my fur in maya. Here is my fibermesh test..

I'm really new to fur but I tried something different. With the topology tool(zbrush) I quickly created support geometry for maya. In maya I used this to draw some curves and attached a hair system. These are test didn't touched the fur yet to make it look good. This test is made with 8 curves.

starting with retopolizing
