OK the idea is a seriously heavy marine sent into battle in front of the main force to soak up damage and repel surprise attacks. The armor would be modeled quite closely on the far right image but the right side (side not shielded) would be left lighter allowing more flexibility allowing the unity to attack with a whip like weapon around their shields once they are engaged in close quarter combat.
Gonna be a few late nights ahead but I hope to have it blocked out in a couple of days

btw - none of the above images are mine working on a rough character sheet now

Hi guys
First late night but I got the a pass at the final look with a concept sheet. Can't decide on the shield design though would really like to hear which design you like, or which bits could go together to make an even better look.

I'm gonna crank out a blocked out version over the weekend and polish it as much as I can over the next week! Baring any tech meltdowns on my computer I should have something in time

Phew have my concept blocked out! and imported into Zbrush! cant wait to start sculpting and painting! Still getting to grips with Zbrush but I have a few good tutorials to follow
Went with the dynamic deploy-able shield in the end.... (The non Art Deco one ) also made an animation of it unpacking just for fun!
Its gonna be close but I think I might be able to finish this in time!

OK i'm quite happy with the sculpt at the moment. I'm still new to Zbrush but I have learnt so much diving into this project and it is such a great piece of software!
With the deadline as close as it is I think I have to just bite the bullet and move onto texturing... so here goes

Got some color down! next up scratches and damage

Posed the character ready for rendering, wish I had longer to work on a PS scene but I'm just hoping I'll have something ready to submit for 2moro!!

Just putting some renders together dont think this will be a submission image just a backup! just the beauty image left to complete yay!
I've really enjoyed this competition
