As they sat around the camp fire, Bobby, the troop leader told the group not to wander off into the woods. He explained that there were reports of something in the woods eating children. Telling the group about a monster that was rumored to live in the very woods they were all camping in, seemed too good to be true. So a few of the campers decided to investigate. Not more than 6 minutes into the investigation, there was a thunderous rumble, followed by 3 blood curdling screams, then, silence. The next morning, the trooper leader went looking for the missing children. All he found was a snicker bar wrapper and a huge foot print in the dirt. Till this day, no one knows what happened to those kids, and no one knows what created the foot print.


Due Date: Sunday January 11th 11:59pm GMT

Idea:

This challenge is more open ended than our usual challenges. With that said, your job for this challenge is to create a mythical creature. If you are feeling up to it, go ahead and make a creature from a different planet.

Poly limit:

More than 1 tri.

Textures:

Whatever floats your boat.



Pedestals/Stands:

You do not have to create one, but if you do, understand that there is no texture or tri limit. You can go as crazy as you want, or keep it basic.


Restrictions:

-Joint entries are OK for this challenge. You can work with a concept artist, that’s it. You must do all modeling yourself, that includes any and all sculpting.

-Your entry must be specifically created for this challenge. Do not use any pieces from previous personal works.

-There are no lighting restrictions.

-All Game/Render Engines are allowed.

-You must create a W.I.P Thread to show off your work in progress.

-If you submit a final entry, you must also vote when the time comes or your entry will be disqualified.

-1 A link to your W.I.P. thread.

- 1 x Winning shot. This image should consist of your subject depicted in its most awesome angle.

- 1 x Beauty shot of your subject. Feel free to put multiple angles of your subject or just one big version or your subject on this page. You are free to do whatever post effects you like on this image. Be careful how you do this though, simple is often better. It’s up to you.

- 1 x Construction shot of your subject. Feel free to put multiple wire frame shots or just one big wire frame shot on this page. It is up to you.

- 1 x Texture sheet that includes all your used sheets squeezed into "one" sheet.

- Concept Sheet (if you have one)

can i join roger in unfinishing a peace at the last moment ? .
i have a model that is left from "escape", then i continued it in "finish it" contest and allmost finished it. so it fits to this contest topic - a mythical creature - minotaur/devil/bull man .
so the question would be : can i join this contest with allready made model from previous contest.
i only need some extra motivation to sit for some time and finish it. i understand that it would be not eligible for any winning possitin .
