My thoughts would be that if you want to model an existing vehicle then some level of creative modification would be interesting to integrate into design even if the overall structure is recognisable.
Again though there are no strict rules here, just that an original design may give your entry the edge over a replica - up to you.

Thank you. I thought it would be something like that, and I suspected my original idea was... way too real. It has been Panzer IV Ausf H. Interesting vehicle, well doable in 4 hours with some sick level of details. But it would be too real even with additions, as this particular tank had many additions.
And so... plan B

Is the 240mins including texturing and rendering besides modeling?

Have just added an update below the original guidelines but in answer to your question the time limit is allocated to modelling only and does not include texturing or rendering.

There is no stipulation about how the vehicle is powered so if you wish to utilise mechanical legs then that is fine.

Anyone can tell me if it has to be an original concept, or if it can be an already existing concept (example from a video game or a movie?)

It can be a car using wheels to move or be a robot - it is up to you.

Post your wips in your contest thread where others have done so.

Being original is best but if it is based upon an existing design then some level of originality is adviseable.

i have some questions

1) Is it allowed to modify finished models in Zbrush/Mudbox to create normal/displace/etc maps from it, or will it count as modelling not texturing ?

2) If I decide to put the model is some kind of environment that needs to be modelled, should i include the creation of environment in modelling time or could it be adressed to rendering/texturing stage ?

Thanx in advance
