Challenge #1 : September 2007 - Dramatic Sunset

Hi there and welcome to our first Matte Painting Challenge!

Please read this post carefully, as it contains important info and details as the challenge goes a little bit different from what you are used to!

To kick off this new Matte Painting Challenge, we have come up with a topic that is not difficult as we dont want to scare anyone off right from the beginning
  • Topic: Dramatic Sunset
Elements: Ruins, Battleground, Alien, Lake/Island, Dead Forest, Ice

What we are looking for is a dramatic sunset scene, which must contain no more no less than 2 (two) of the elements listed above. There are nice combinations from which you can choose, for example Ice+Ruins+Sunset. Let your imagination fly, this is a great topic

Note: Any image that doesn't contain any 2 of the elements above or doesn't fit with the topic will not be judged.

Note: Please submit only final images here! For work in progress and feedback please use our sub-forums here: http://forums.3dtotal.com/forumdisplay.php?f=92 (In fact I encourage you to use it as often as you can)

Note: The minimum accepted width/height is of 1024px and the recommended one is 1600px.

Judging

The challenge will end on September 30th, after which we will temporary lock the thread while we pick the winners.
