WIP: I strated on the pedestal. I kept it simple with primary shapes. Like the hole character actually... I worked a bit more on the colour and details on the normal map as well. Still no spec map though. Maybe I take it too easy because of the time extension

Very cool start on the pedestal, nice and simple. A good example to follow.

With the black stuff on the blades you definitely need to get some kind of specularity defined on him. Those black spaces just disappear into the background and make the weapons hard to read. But the "Blood" or whatever it is, is a nice addition. Helps make the swords not look identical.

Love the pose, is slice and dice ready. The colors are workng and the kitchen tiles on the pedestal are working. Not to much but enough to get his enviroment. One thing that I would like to see is old blood stains on the tiles for me it would complete the pedestal. There's a lot going on with him so you don't want the pedestal to become more than him but an extention if him. Well, that's just my opinion on the presentation part, but above all great job you have a great shot of bring in the top honors.

Nice update, going to look much better with that spec map

Some nice small-med wear/scratch detail on the metal bits would help make them pop more.. I would keep the highlights more controlled to add an extra layer of detail on it. I think the leather areas could use some discoloration or even some worn corners or little swipes or scratches on it as well.
