Eyes, will be some very small lenses on the side of the "face". It's supposed to have an expressionless face, kinda like mysterious my goal is.

Thumbs up

Like the model a lot, looking forward to seeing some ranged weaponry on it as it looks like it would kick ass literaly in close combat. It is nice to be able to understand how it moves and what all the parts are for just by looking at it. Interested to know how you plan to texture it, what maps you will use e.t.c.

Dug up a month or two old image, a weaponsuggestion for a mod project. Thought it would be excellent as a weapon to my shadow. Worked from that image and made some slight modifications.

And, well, here it is. Realised now the hands need to be rubuilt partly. The thumbs cant bend normally which is almost nothing at all without looking like crap. Oh, and I rigged the hands and the feet.

Now I got about 300 tris left on the weaponpart. I'm thinking of making a shield it will carry on its back.

And if it runs out of ammo. :P

So... whataya think?

Btw, is it okay to post these kind of WIPs on other cummunities as well? Think it doesn't say anything in the rules, but haven't seen anyone else's work anywere else so I got a bit unsure.

Well, I think I'm done with the model part now. The gears and new hands are finished and the tricount doesn't allow me to go further. =P

So if there's anything you think needs change tell me now as I soon will start to texture it. Don't worry though if this post is several days old when you read this. I'm still quite new on UV mapping so every part will take a while.

I'm also more than happy to hear your thoughts about this in general!

i realy like that gun idea, the whole second form of attack thing is funky. like the emotionless face too, im workin twords that (but with a soul's face as apposed to metal or flesh). reminds me of a better designed star wars robot. lovin it, keep it up.

Great that you like!

Hehe, couldn't hold myself for today so I made some quick painting in photoshop to come up with how I want the texture to look like. Picked some colors, and personally I like what came out of it, the colors then.

What do you guys think about it?

I like your Bot. But with that color scheme, it really reminds me of the droids in SW.

Was discussing the colorscheme with a friend and remembered it had to be stealthy some way, and that colorscheme is not stealthy, so I drew what I had in mind from the beginning. I'll go for this one instead if I or someone else can't come up something even better.

Looks more stealthy now eh? :P

Depends... it looks good, i like it, but glowing neons all over the place really hurt the stealth thing

The first coloring does look like the SW trade federarion droids... it's not about good or bad design, just that it might turn off a few people, having something so similar to a known design from one of the biggest universes around.

Yeah perhaps, but I love glowing stuff and black/icyblue is one of my favourite schemes, cuzz it's so dystopic. And that's what the war is. And besides this is just an example though. Brightness and stuff can be adjusted, it's about the choise of colors that's important right now.

definatly the black and blue colour scheme. besides im sure he'd be able to turn off the lights when hes sliking up behind the enemy to take em out with the blades(still realy love that idea). acuialy, i know its not exactly the same but would you mind if i put a bayonet on the end of my gun and used your 'gripping the butt as a handle' idea?
